What is Honda Brake Hold And How To Use It
What is it?
When activated Honda Brake Hold automatically holds the brakes for the driver once a complete stop is made. The driver is able to remove his or her foot from the brake pedal once stopped without the car rolling forward or backward. Once the driver presses the gas pedal the vehicle automatically releases the brakes in order to allow the vehicle to start moving again. This feature is great for stop-and-go traffic and city driving.
How does it work?
It is very simple to use. The first step is to fasten the seatbelt because it will not work if your seatbelt is not fastened. Right next to the electronic parking brake there is a button that says "Brake Hold". Press it and you will notice the brake hold light up on the dashboard. Now Every time the vehicle comes to a complete stop the driver can lift his or her foot off the brake and the vehicle will remain stationary until the driver presses the gas pedal again. If left engaged for more than 10 minutes, or if the driver's seatbelt buckle is unfastened while the automatic brake hold is engaged, the system is designed to automatically cancel and apply the electronic parking brake.

Can you drive long distances with the brake hold on or will it damage the car ? Do you have to manually turn it off after moving forward each time ?
