What is HondaLink®?
Well, HondaLink is two things actually. HondaLink® First Generation lets your Honda seamlessly connect with your compatible smartphone, giving you in-car access to your favorite music, contacts, social media, and other services. HondaLink® Next Generation, available on select 2014 and newer models, is an application-based platform that connects you to a world of online content both inside and outside your car.
In order to use Honda Link, you have to download the HondaLink app onto your iPhone. Once the app is downloaded and set up there are many other apps that can be downloaded and used with it. Below is a list of some of them with their descriptions.
HondaLink Aha
For 2013 and 2014 vehicles equipped with HondaLink™. Honda owners in the US and Canada can reach a wide world of information, audio content, and customer services while on the go with the free HondaLink™ Aha™ app. The HondaLink Aha app provides convenient access to cloud-based services right through the vehicle dashboard, allowing you to leave your phone tucked away while driving. With this app, HondaLink and Aha help turn your favorite Internet content into personalized, on-demand radio stations. Get easy-to-use, unlimited access to select Internet content, including - News/Sports/Talk Stations - Music Stations of every variety - Podcasts/Audiobooks - Facebook and Twitter posts - Location listings for nearby restaurants, and coffee - And more, with constantly evolving content. - There are thousands of stations and choices available.
HondaLink Navigation NA
The HondaLink™ Navigation app is compatible with vehicles equipped with HondaLink-ready technology: 2014-15 Civic EX & above 2015-17 Fit EX & above 2015-16 CR-V EX & above 2016-17 HR-V EX & above 2016 CR-Z LX & above (US only) With the new HondaLink Navigation app, you can have in-dash guided mapping directions with voice instruction over the stereo speakers. Users can receive all the convenience of in-vehicle maps and routing, including continuously updated traffic information for freeways, highways, and major surface streets. Search for points of interest or specific addresses, and easily route to your selected destination. Includes free annual map updates. Requires registration with HondaLink.
